St Andrew's Church of England Voluntary Controlled Junior School

SASA ( St Andrew's School Association)

Our PTA: St Andrew's School Association

As a parent/carer of a child attending St Andrew’s Junior School, you automatically become part of SASA (St Andrew’s School Association) We have excellent support from parents at events however, as a registered charity we do have to have a committee.

There are approximately three meetings a year to discuss what events to hold and the enrichment we want to raise the money for.

During the year, SASA holds social and fundraising events, which have recently included:

  • Christmas Disco
  • Raffles
  • Christmas Fair
  • Spring Disco
  • Bags4School
  • Lighthouse Challenge
  • Easyfundrasing.com
  • Half term challenges
  • Christmas cards

Any amount of time you can give is invaluable whether it's half an hour to help serve refreshments, coming along to the meetings, folding raffle tickets, sharing your ideas or helping to run an event. It is all greatly appreciated and very much needed, the more help we have the more we can do!

The money raised is used to enhance school life for ALL children, with a current focus on enriching the curriculum through the arts. These  events include:

  • Going to the theatre to watch a pantomine (English)
  • Clive Pig drama workshops (History)
  • Quantum theatre production (Science)
  • Puzzle Day (Maths)
  • Playtime equipment

SASA funds have also enabled the children to benefit from a new sail-shade in the courtyard, as well as child-designed value art panels to brighten up the courtyard space.
