Covid National Lockdown Update
4th January 2021
As you would have heard from the PM, we have now entered a national lockdown: school is now closed for most children. Children of Key Workers as well as vulnerable pupils will still be allocated a place to be taught at school. Pupils who were identified as vulnerable pupils last time have already been allocated a place. However, with regards to Key Workers we understand that employment circumstances may change so please notify the school office if you will be sending your child to school. For at least on Tuesday I would ask that you only send in your child if necessary as we will need some time to set up the classrooms and other arrangements. Sunrise and Sunset will be open as normal but only for key worker and vulnerable children that have already pre-booked.
Key Worker guidance can be found on the DFE website: Key Workers and Vulnerable Pupils
Children at home
Please logon to your class Google classroom daily to access the online learning activities. We do know and understand that households will have different ICT setups, number of siblings, need different amounts of help, parent possibly working from home and juggling, home education-therefore we have planned with flexibility in mind. Online learning activities will be ready from Wednesday 6th January.
Children coming to school
Please arrive at the usual time in your school uniform, through Dunstan Road gate, this will be open at 8:45am and registration will be at 8:55am. Please remember reading books, drink, snack as well as a packed lunch as there will be no hot school meals for any children on Tuesday. Pick up will be at 3:30pm for all children. Please come to the Dunstan Road gate. Please wear a face covering and adhere to Social Distancing guidelines when dropping off and collecting your child.
Please keep an eye on the school twitter feed, App Messages, website and Facebook for any updates as we all know the situation rapidly changes.
