SIAMS Inspection Outcome 2026
We are incredibly proud to announce the results of our recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS), which took place on 4th February 2026.Our Inspection Judgment Under the national inspection framework, we are delighted to share that:
"St Andrew's Church Junior School is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish."
What does this mean? While SIAMS inspections no longer use one-word grades, this outcome confirms that our school is fully meeting the high expectations required of a Church of England school. The inspector found that our Christian vision of "Shining light on a world of possibilities" is the "lifeblood of the school" and is deeply embedded in our daily life and strategic decisions.
Key Highlights from the Report:
A Culture of Care: A deeply caring and respectful atmosphere pervades the school, where behavior is "extremely good" and relationships are a core strength.
Exceptional Support: The inspector noted that our provision for pupils with SEND and those who are vulnerable is "exceptional," ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Inspiring Curriculum: Our "big questions" curriculum stimulates thinking and inquiry, helping our pupils grow as responsible global citizens.
Community & Partnerships: Our strong links with the local parish church, the Diocese of Bath and Wells, and The Priory Learning Trust significantly enrich our pupils' spiritual development. We would like to thank our entire school community—pupils, staff, parents, and governors—for their continued support in making St Andrew’s a place where everyone can experience "life in all its fullness".
